Marathon effort raises over £1k

A 'two marathons in two-days' event held at Lancaster Leisure Park.raised £1,184.25 for a children's cancer charity.

Co-owner of Hodgson’s Chippy Nigel Hodgson set up his treadmill in blustery conditions at the leisure park with the aim of running 26.2 miles each day with his running colleague Rob Drake over the Easter weekend.

Nigel and Rob are both running The Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday April 22 for Children with Cancer UK.

They have pledged to raise £10,000 overall.
