A MAN suffered serious head injuries and a fractured jaw when he was attacked in Morecambe.

The 30-year-old victim was walking along Euston Grove between 9:45pm and 10:15pm on Tuesday October 18 when he was punched and kicked to the floor.

The offender then continued to assault the man as he laid on the floor.

The man was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment.

DC Clare Wilson said, “We are still trying to piece together exactly what happened and this appears to be a completely unprovoked assault and I am really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.

“I would urge anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward and contact police if they saw anything at all suspicious.”
