Man punched and kicked in head in Morecambe attack

A man was punched in the face before being set upon by “four or five others” who attacked him while he lay on the ground in Morecambe.

The 37-year-old local man was walking down Regent Road at around 10.30pm on Saturday, October 17, when he was approached by another man and punched in the face in what police say was an unprovoked attack.

A struggle ensued and the man fought back, grabbing his attacker’s jumper, before both men fell to the ground.

Seconds later the man was set upon by a group of four to five others, believed to be teenagers, who punched him and kicked him while he lay on the ground.

The attackers then fled the scene, leaving the man with bruising to his eyes and face.
