Man injured in two car smash in Morecambe

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained a serious injury to his leg following a crash in Morecambe.

A Peugeot Eurostar Camper was driving on Middleton Road towards Morecambe and there was a collision between this vehicle and a Ford Fiesta travelling in the opposite direction near to Heysham Golf Club.

The driver of the Fiesta, a 23-year-old man from Middleton, had to be removed from the car by the Fire Service and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with a fractured leg, where he remains in a stable condition.

The crash happened at 7.20pm on Wednesday August 26.

Sgt Adam Dawson said: “If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact police on 101 quoting incident reference 1313 of August 26.”
