The M6 will NOT be closed between Junctions 34 and 35 tonight (Tuesday).

A provisional closure of the motorway scheduled for 8pm to 6am has been cancelled.

The section of road was closed last night (Monday) to allow work on the Heysham to M6 link road.

Road builders Costain were installing parapets on the extended Foundry Lane bridge over the motorway and made good progress last night, meaning the planned overnight closure was called off.
