Husband-and-wife musical duo The Lovely Eggs are bringing something very special on tour with them this summer – their new baby!
Holly Blackwell is heavily with child so she and hubby David are strapping the baby seat into their tour van ready for a July and August gigfest.
“For stupidity’s sake instead of painting the spare room and building cots we’ve decided to re-press our first album and go out playing live this summer,” said Holly.
The Lovely Eggs are re-releasing their 2009 debut record ‘If You Were Fruit’ for two reasons. Firstly, due to popular demand. Secondly, they say, to spite the scoundrel who was selling it for £300 on Amazon.
It will be re-released on April 29 on CD and limited edition collectable 12” vinyl, including bonus tracks from their first EP ‘Have You Ever Heard the Lovely Eggs?’
The loony Lancastrians combine The Ramones with Jilted John, according to BBC6 Music’s website; apt as they’ve worked with John himself aka comedian John Shuttleworth.
