A Youth Conditional Caution can be given by police if a young person commits their first or second minor offence, and has not been to court before, instead of the young person having to appear at court.

A Community Resolution is a way of dealing with an offender which is proportionate to lower level crime.

It can be offered when the offender admits an offence, or where the victim has agreed that they do not want more formal action taken.

The boys had been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life following the blaze on June 1.

It occurred in the vicinity of the Poundland and Superdrug stores and is thought to have caused around £10,000 to £15,000 worth of damage to the building.
