Lancaster knicker nicking suspects nicked

A man and a boy have appeared in court on charges of stealing ladies’ underwear off washing lines.

David Briggs, 52, of Cathedral Drive, Heaton-with-Oxcliffe, has been charged with three counts of theft at houses on Westham Street and Connaught Road in Lancaster between April 29 and June 21.

He was bailed to appear at Lancaster Magistrates Court on August 8.

A 16-year-old boy from Lancaster, in separate incidents, has been charged with two counts of theft from Tall Trees, Lancaster, on July 9 and July 17.

He appeared at Preston Magistrates Court on July 19.
