'GOLLY' GOULDING has come up with more fund raising ideas.

Imagine a human chain of 600 people walking hand in hand across the sands of Morecambe Bay.

This vision could become reality to raise money for our #SaveOurHospice campaign.

‘Hands Across the Sands’ is the brainchild of Steve ‘Golly’ Goulding, Morecambe musician.

‘Golly’, bandmate of TV antiques star Paul Hayes in rock ‘n’ roll group The Paul Hayes Collection, wants to run the fundraising event early next year and is looking for people to take part and to volunteer as marshals.

‘Hands Across the Sands’ will be led by Cedric Robinson, Queen’s Guide to the Sands.

Golly and the band will also host a two-day ‘Rock Back the Clock’ nostalgia and music event in Morecambe on August 16 and 17 to raise funds for the campaign.

The band is also looking for former entrants of the Miss Great Britain beauty contests to be interviewed by Paul at this celebration of 100 years of Morecambe entertainment.

The band have been dedicated supporters of the #SaveOurHospice campaign, raising thousands in 2013 from sales of their CD ‘Credit Card Christmas’.

Anybody wanting to take part in any of these events should contact ‘Golly’ on 01524 850757.
