COMEDIAN Jim Bowen is recovering at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary after a mild stroke.

The former Bullseye host was taken ill in the early hours of Friday morning at his home in Melling just outside Lancaster.

Mr Bowen, 73, will remain in hospital while he undergoes physio. His wife Phyllis said he was “doing well”.

The comic is due to perform at the Hornby Institute on March 10 and also has a scheduled performance at the Grand Theatre in Lancaster in May.

The Visitor interviewed Jim Bowen earlier this month at his home. See www.thevisitor.co.uk/news/features to read the interview in full.
