Hundreds take part in cross bay walk for Galloway’s Society
Local sight loss charity Galloway’s hosted two walks and people flocked from all over the county to join them.
Anna Scott, fundraiser for Galloway’s, said: “To see all those people in the middle of Morecambe Bay supporting our work with local blind and partially sighted people was amazing.

The event was supported by architect firm FWP, who are helping with the design of the charity’s new building on Victoria Street, Investment Banking company Brown Shipley and Stagecoach.
The Midland Hotel and local businesswoman Frances Whittaker also donated a range of items for the walkers’ goody bags.
One of their younger walkers, Kian Fishwick aged eight, said: “My favourite part was the river crossing when the water went up to my hips.
“I’ve been asking all my friends and family to sponsor me and so far I’ve raised £60 for Galloway’s.”
