Housing site plans on the agenda
A planning application to build 158 houses on a green field site at Brewer's Barn to the north of Carnforth prompted a group of concerned local residents to hold a public meeting at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall.
Over 80 people attended the meeting, including Carnforth”s three Lancaster City Councillors, Peter Yates, Mel Guilding and John Reynolds.
There was a general consensus that Carnforth was already struggling to cope with heavy road traffic, a lack of parking and increasing pressure on its schools and medical facilities.
