The North West Ambulance Service’s NHS 111 Service had its first inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) this week.

As well as using patient feedback the CQC visited NWAS NHS 111 operating centres and met with the managers, staff and clinicians who helped respond to over 770,000 calls received in the last year.

During the visit, the CQC assessed the quality and safety of the service to gain a full picture of the NWAS NHS 111 service.

The judgement falls in line with all of the other work the CQC does with NHS organisations.
