PAUL Hayes has been in talks with the BBC about hosting Songs of Praise.
The TV antiques expert from Morecambe became famous for valuing precious items on such daytime shows as Cash in the Attic and Car Booty.
But Paul, who lives on Balmoral Road, said he would love to branch out to host other styles of programme to avoid being typecast.
Speaking on Diversity FM radio, he said: “I’ve been to see the BBC to talk about the right vehicle for me and they suggested Songs of Praise.
“It would be nice to make the jump across because you do get put into that ‘antiques box’.”
