Guests dismay at Easter celebrations

BRIDES and grooms hoping to make sweet music were disturbed at daybreak by hymns being belted out at a church service on the Stone Jetty.

Guests at Morecambe’s Midland Hotel on Easter Sunday couldn’t believe their ears when an electric guitar, drums and a keyboard started up, accompanied by singing at 6.30am

People leaned over their balconies shouting at the worshippers to be quiet and one woman who was a guest at the hotel approached organisers to complain about the noise.

However, the worshippers carried on regardless.

The hotel reception also received numerous complaints about the noise.
