Great British Bake Off style event comes to Morecambe
The charity, which needs to generate £1m this year to continue their services, has launched its annual culinary challenge to help the funding raising drive.
Anna Scott, the North Lancashire fundraiser for the charity, said: “There is such a buzz already surrounding this year’s Great British Bake Off series, that we thought we would bring some of the Bake Off fun to our local community.

“We have all the materials that groups will need to be able to hold their internal cake off, including a handy how to guide and a judging sheet.
“It really is all to cake for with such a fantastic title up for grabs!”
This initial cake off can take place anytime between now and Wednesday October 30.

Last year’s Morecambe Bay Cake Off was a hotly fought contest which saw Morecambe’s Arndale Centre Manager, Sue Byers, rise to the cream of the crop.
Sue said: “We’re very pleased to be supporting the fantastic Galloways Great Morecambe Bay Cake Off again this year.
“We’re all dusting off our pinnies and recipe books and can’t wait to get baking and particularly tasting all those yummy creations.”
