Kids have been stopped from playing on a public field after it was put under lock and key.
Lancashire County Council, owners of the field on Acre Moss Lane, say its gate has been locked to prevent anti-social behaviour from youths.
Butresidents are furious because the locked gate is keeping young children from playing on the field.
County Councillor Janice Hanson said: “We want the field to remain open for public use but since the neighbouring youth and community centre (on Woodhill Lane) closed, it has not been as easy to keep an eye on this site. If a local person or group comes forward to help with managing this site, it would be possible to reopen it to the general public.”
