A FUNDRAISING event is being held at the Imperial Hotel in Morecambe in aid of asthma sufferer Kaytee Metcalfe, who nearly died last year.
The event starts at 7pm today, Tuesday, March 8, and is for all Kaytee’s family and friends who have continued to support her and each other.
With it being Shrove Tuesday, there will be pancakes for everyone, an Old Skool DJ playing Kaytee’s favourite music, speeches and poems written and read by her closest friends.
There will be a special surprise for Kaytee’s younger brother Kieron, kindly donated by event sponsor and local cage fighter Anthony Diprose.
Kieron has done lots of fundraising for his sister over the year, including a bike ride from Scarborough to Heysham High School along with four of Kaytee’s teachers.
Kaytee, a Heysham High school pupil, who collapsed after suffering an asthma attack, is now non-dependent on machines and is progressing each day in a specialised facility in Manchester.
