The eggciting tale of the classic children’s story Chicken Licken will be appearing at The Dukes next month.
A new adaption of the barnyard tale will be perfect for your little ones when you are trying to entertain them during February half-term.
Puppeteer Adam Bennett hosts this lively and witty show in Lancaster on February 21, which will feature characters including Chicken Licken, Turkey Lurkey, Henny Penny and Ducky Lucky.
The timeless funny classic sees the Chicken Licken making bread and going on adventures before facing her enemy the hungry Foxy-Loxy, where she grows up to outwit the hunter. The fairy-tale is presented by DNA Puppetry and Visual Theatre which is celebrating 21 years of making theatre for the old and the young.
It also gives the audience the opportunity to get involved with the characters by having the show staged in the rounded seating space in The Dukes’ The Round, a 240- seat theatre space.
This is a show ideal for children ages three to eight years-old, mother hens will have no worries as they can now entertain their chicks.
Chicken Licken will be performed at 2pm at The Dukes, Lancaster and tickets are priced at £7/£5 (a £1 per transaction fee applies when booking online).
