Former Lancaster pub landlord serenades 80-year-old friend on lockdown birthday

The Italian entertainer, who ran The Stonewell Tavern with his wife Rohina for many years, has been spreading some much needed joy using his guitar, voice, and unique charm.
June Wilson, who went into self isolation in the second week of March, said she was delighted to be serenaded on her doorstep for her 80th birthday on Saturday May 23.

Hide AdShe lives in Carnforth but is currently living with her daughter and son-in-law Margret and John Hollstein in Galgate.
June lost her husband Frank last year and has limited eyesight so moved in with Margret and John during lockdown.
Jerry, who lives in Halton Road, has also been sporadically bursting into song from his back window at home.
His wife Rohi said: "Jerry loves singing and has done three songs so far.
It's very sporadic.
"He just gets his guitar and goes for it!

Hide Ad"He has also been asked to sing happy birthday to people standing in their gardens or we have sent them videos.
"Kids were clapping in the back alley.
"Jerry misses entertaining people and this is his way to spread his Italian joy!"
