Flags to fly for Commonwealth

The Commonwealth flag will fly over Lancaster and Morecambe town halls on Monday.

County Councillor Kevin Ellard, Chairman of Lancashire County Council raising the flag at County Hall to mark the international celebration of Commonwealth Day.

Ceremonies at 10am will mark Commonwealth Day.

In Lancaster Coun Jon Barry, mayor of Lancaster, will read the Commonwealth Affirmation and deputy mayor Coun Caroline Jackson will read it at Morecambe Town Hall.
