Fire crews rescue fallen horse
Two fire crews were called to help free a horse after it slipped in its stable and was unable to stand.
The animal was stuck with one leg trapped under it at the stable in Kirkby Lonsdale Road, Halton near Lancaster on Wednesday morning.
The owner and a vet summoned the fire brigade to help lift the horse.
Crews from Lancaster and Bolton-le-Sands attended and used a sling, ropes and a harness to get the animal back onto its feet. It was not thought to have been injured.
