Fire crews deal with chimney blaze in Lancaster village

Fire crews extinguished a chimney blaze at a house in Forton on Thursday evening.

Two fire engines from Lancaster and Garstang were called to the fire in Hollins Lane just after 9.30pm.

Firefighters used a hose reel, chimney rods, a thermal imaging camera, a Nimbus nozzle and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire.

They were at the scene for 35 minutes.
