THE sounds of Motown filled the air while nurses, robed cardinals and housemaids danced their heart out.
This was just another afternoon in the Morecambe Top 20 festivals season!
This past weekend was the turn of Motown Magic, where hits from Diana Ross, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Barry White, Luther Vandross and Otis Redding regaled the soul music fans – some in fancy dress – outside The Platform on Sunday afternoon.
Delivering the music to the good-hearted crowd were Lennie Michaels and his guitarist Joe “Tokyo” Brown, Diane Shaw and Harry Cambridge. Lenny, Joe and Diane are no strangers to Morecambe, having performed here in previous years.
Lennie paid his tribute to Barry White and other artists, while Joe delivered on guitar.
