Fears of teacher in Japan

SHOCKING reports of the scale of the tsunami and earthquakes in Japan have been sent to The Visitor from an expat English teacher living in Tokyo.

Niall Lecoustre, who went to St Martin’s College and worked for several years at the BT call centre in Lancaster, experienced several of the earthquakes and is now deeply concerned about the threat from the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Meanwhile, three local firefighters are in Japan helping to search for survivors of the tsunami and earthquakes.
