Stefan John Hargreaves, of Fulmar Crescent, Heysham, was jailed for a total of 26 weeks after admitting dangerous driving, driving
without due care and attention and driving while disqualified.

Preston Magistrates’ Court was told the 28-year-old defendant had tried to evade police while in a Vauxhall Vectra Envoy on Carleton Street, Morecambe.

On November 17 last year he also overtook a vehicle on the wrong side of Acre Moss Lane in Morecambe.

He was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £114 costs and is also banned from the roads for one year and eight months.

The court heard he had never done an extended retest after previous bans.
