A YORKSHIRE terrier has returned home after being stolen in a burglary in Whittington, near Carnforth.
Honey, a show dog, was found wandering down a street in Bolton after being taken from Barbara Witham’s home in Main Street in broad daylight on Friday, August 19.
However four-year-old Honey was micro-chipped so police were able to contact 80-year-old Mrs Witham the following day to say her pet had been found by a dog warden in Hobart Street in the Greater Manchester town, more than 50 miles from its home.
Items of expensive jewellery were also stolen from the property.
