A POSTMISTRESS who was the victim of an armed robbery will relive the most dramatic week of her life this Sunday when she appears on cooking TV show Come Dine With Me.

Rosemary Rawsthorn filmed the episode of the Channel 4 programme just days after her post office on Cleveleys Avenue at Scale Hall was held up by two people, one wielding a hammer.

But bubbly Rosemary did not allow the traumatic incident in October to stop her from going on the smash hit show.

“It was a dramatic time,” she said.

“But doing Come Dine With Me was the most exciting thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

American Rosemary, who hails originally from Tennessee, is one of four contestants from the Lancaster and Morecambe district who will battle it out for a £1,000 cash prize.

The others are timeshare admin manager Linda Cottam from Carnforth, financial adviser Anne Thompson from Warton and zany Carleton club DJ “Johnny” Pep (real name Peter Roberts) from Heysham.
