LANCASTER’S community radio station Diversity FM will broadcast its last show tomorrow (March 31).
The station, located at the city’s YMCA building, is closing down due to a lack of funding.
Diversity FM was costing £6,500 per month to keep on the air.
But the economic climate caused vital grants to dry up.
“We’d put a plan together to try to keep it going but it’s been harder and harder to get funding,” Duncan Moore, station manager, told The Visitor last month.
