Generators were fired up for basic computer usage to maintain the continuity in planning and head torches were worn to see paperwork!

Despite the dire situation, SJ Bargh management and staff worked around the clock to ensure all farm collection commitments were met and dairies supplied.

Richard Wilson Arla Foods said: “On behalf of Arla I say a massive thank you to all the team at SJ Bargh for maintaining our service levels through extremely testing circumstances.

“Not to have missed a farm in such horrendous conditions is quite staggering performance and the drivers and your staff deserve a huge amount of credit for their dedication to the cause.”

Managing director Anthony Finlayson-Green said: “Well done to all, especially farm collection and reload teams, for exceptional teamwork over this terrible weekend, our many drivers, the workshop team, (fantastic teamwork), Black Bear (IT service provider), the yard guys, and those who were here simply to help.”
