The deadline for applications is tomorrow (Friday, April 15) at noon.

An extra Morecambe Town Council cash pot of £10,000 has been made available towards 2016/17 festivals and events in the town.

Eligible festivals must take place in Morecambe prior to March 31 2017 and meet the council’s criteria.

Funding is not available towards festivals which have already received council funding and retrospective applications will not be considered.

Applications should be sent to David Croxall, the town clerk.

Applications are available HERE

You can email the completed application to [email protected] or post it to Morecambe Town Council, Town Hall, Marine Road, Morecambe LA4 5AF.

Final decisions are expected to be made on May 19.

The town council has already agreed grants this year to festivals including Morecambe Carnival, Vintage-by-the-Sea and next weekend’s ‘Bard by the Beach’ Shakespeare festival.
