What a weekend we had in Morecambe last week.
Massive crowds filled the promenade on Sunday as The Red Arrows once again proved to be the biggest draw of the town’s entertainment calendar.
The busiest vantage point was the Stone Jetty, but thousands more stared skywards for a view of the display team all along the seafront and further afield, including up on Torrisholme Barrow.
The 20-minute performance in gorgeous weather included the drawing of a ‘love heart’ high above Morecambe Bay and was the highlight of a brilliant two-day Morecambe Seaside Festival of live music, aerial and fireworks displays.
Our photographer Nigel Slater was there.
