A Carnforth woman is facing jail after admitting falsely claiming more than £25,000 in benefits.

Michelle McLuskie, 32, of New Village, Carnforth, pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to notify a change of circumstances to her benefit entitlement.

The offences took place between February 4, 2011 and July 4, 2013, when she lived in Barrow. The case was adjourned for an ‘all options’ pre-sentence report.

McLuskie will appear at Furness Magistrates Court on March 25.
