The parents of a woman murdered by her husband in Lancaster have met with a Minister for Justice.

Ken and Marie West from Bolton-le-Sands have been campaigning for David Bonnell, who killed their daughter Tracey Bonnell, to be excluded from Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire.

Bonnell beat his 23-year-old wife to death at their Skerton home in 1997. He has been released on parole.

The Wests met with Jeremy Wright, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice, in London accompanied by David Morris, MP for Morecambe. Mr West, a paramedic, was one of the first on the scene of the murder.
