Two stabbed in district

A MAN was stabbed in the head and a 17-year-old boy knifed in the arm in two separate incidents.

The teenager was wounded during a scuffle with several people in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called to the junction of Christie Avenue and Cartmel Place in Morecambe and found a young man with a knife.

The injured teenager, who had sustained a puncture wound, was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment following the incident between 12.30am and 1.30am.

Several people were arrested at the scene and all but one was released without charge.

A 26-year-old man has been released on police bail for further enquiries to be made.

A 29-year-old man was arrested in connection with the stabbing on Monday night and was being questioned as The Visitor went to press.
