Robbers armed with knives threaten store staff

Staff at a convenience store were robbed at knifepoint in a terrifying ordeal.

Police said two men went into O’Connors Convenience Store on Balmoral Road and stole cash and cigarettes after threatening staff with knives.

The men then fled in the direction of St John’s Avenue.

The first robber is described as tall, slim, wearing a dark jacket with a small blue logo on top left breast, light grey tracksuit bottoms and white and black trainers.

The second robber is tall, slim, wearing a dark jacket with a reflective strip around the back of the hood and a light logo on the top left breast.

The robbery happened at 7.23pm on Sunday, February 22.
