Plea after cash point robbery

A student had his wallet and phone stolen whilst at a cash point in Lancaster.

Police said the robbery took place just after midnight on Thursday, May 17 when the victim withdrew £30 cash from the Halifax cash machine on Penny Street.

The 19-year-old was then approached by a man and attacked in the alley next to the cash machine. A second man appeared and the victim was overpowered and his mobile telephone and wallet have been stolen.

The victim’s wallet is black with orange polka dots with an orange elastic strap. His mobile phone is a black Hawaii Ascend with a black front. Call police on 101.
