Murder charge man remanded

A man accused of murdering his partner and son at their Lancashire home has been remanded in custody.

Paul Chadwick, 34, appeared before Preston Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with murdering Lisa Clay, 40, and six-year-old Joseph Chadwick on April 9.

Their bodies were found with multiple stab wounds at their home on Lowlands Road in Bolton-le-Sands, near Morecambe.

Mr Chadwick was remanded in custody to appear before Preston Crown Court on Tuesday.

A post-mortem of Ms Clay and her son found they both died from their injuries.
