A man was arrested at Lancaster railway station after spitting at a fellow passenger.
British Transport Police Lancashire reported on social media that the man was arrested on Tuesday evening.
He spat at a person on the platform and became very violent when officers arrived, BTP said.
He remains in custody as investigations into the incident are being finalised.
