Appeal after road danger

Police are appealing for motorists to come forward if they witnessed dangerous driving on the A6. They would like to speak to motorists who were travelling on the A6 between Barley Cop Lane through Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth between 10.30pm and 11pm on Wednesday, July 16 and may have been overtaken by a VW Polo at speeds of 70-80 mph. The driver of the Volkswagen Polo has been located by police and is currently under investigation for dangerous driving.

Court date after underwear thefts

A man charged with stealing ladies underwear off washing lines appeared at Lancaster Magistrates on Friday. David Briggs, 52, of Cathedral Drive, Heaton-with-Oxcliffe is accused of thefts in Lancaster between April 29 and June 21 this year. The case was adjourned until August 29.
