CRIME in Morecambe is down almost two per cent compared with last year.

However, burglary is on the increase, with house burglaries up 12 per cent, and burglaries other than in a dwelling, such as in commercial properties or pubs, up nearly 40 per cent.

“But the figures are quite disappointing so we will be focusing on them.”
