Police are appealing for information about a distinctive blue Recumbent Trike stolen from a yard in Lancaster town centre.

The theft took place sometime between 5pm on Thursday, July 25 and 8am on Friday July 26, at a rear yard at a house on Queen Street in the city.

The bike is described as being a blue ICE 21 gear Recumbent Trike with 20inch thick wheels and a light bracket fitted at the front.Pictured (right) is a trike similar to the one stolen.

PC Philip Williamson said: “The trike is very unusual and is made by Inspire Cycle Engineering ICE Cornwall.

“It is worth in the region of £2,500 so it’s possible it has been stolen to order.

“I’d appeal to anybody that has any information about the theft or the whereabouts of the trike to contact police on 101 quoting reference LC-20130726-0436.”
