Crime cash seized from former shop owner
Police have seized £40,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act from a shop owner who was convicted of possession of cocaine.
On May 4, 2012, the Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant at the Premier Shop, 136 Heysham Road. During the warrant cocaine and a large amount of cash was seized.
The shop owner at the time Mohammed Javed, 30, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine at Preston Crown Court in July 2013.
Police must state that the shop has since changed ownership since the investigation.
