The missing couple have now been found.

Three people who sparked police alerts after they went missing in separate incidents were later found safe.

Officers said they were concerned for the welfare of 47-year-old amnesia sufferer Philip Browning who hadn’t been seen since 7.30am last Thursday (March 13).

He left his home in St John’s Road, Heysham, to go to the shop.

Information was sought over his whereabouts after police said he was “very vulnerable.”

However, Mr Browning was found safe and well in the Blackpool area on Friday.

Meanwhile, worried relatives of a Morecambe couple reported them missing from their home in the resort.

Paul and Joan Brook, both 67, prompted a police appeal on social media after officers said they were “concerned for their welfare”.

Police asked for information from the public on Saturday evening.

The couple had not been seen since leaving their home at 11am on Friday in their beige coloured Citroen Picasso.

The appeal said the couple were probably in the Skipton, North Lancashire or Cumbria areas.

And it was in Skipton on Sunday afternoon where police reported they had both been located.

The police thanked members of the public for the help in finding them and sharing appeals on social media sites.
