Cornwell’s punk return to Morecambe

Former frontman of The Stranglers, Hugh Cornwell, will make a welcome return visit to the Platform.

The Morecambe show on Thursday November 12 will present one of the finest song writers. Hugh is considered one of the UK’s accomplished live performers.

As the original guitarist, singer and main song writer in The Stranglers, he enjoyed massive UK and European success with 10 hit albums and 21 top 40 singles in the 17 year period that he was in the punk band.

The Stranglers etched themselves into the UK’s musical psyche with hit singles including ‘Peaches’, ‘No More Heroes’, ‘Golden Brown’, ‘Always the Sun’, ‘Skin Deep’, ‘Duchess’, ‘Walk On By’ to name but a few.

Hugh has continued to wow audiences all over the world with a mix of old favourites and his own new solo material.

His latest studio album Totem and Taboo was released to rave reviews.

Recorded at Electrical 
Audio Studios, in Chicago, the album was engineered and mixed by the legendary Steve Albini.

The show will start at 7.30pm.
