Most of the churches in Morecambe and Heysham are actively involved in some way in social action.

There are food banks, various ‘drop-in’ groups where people can get a meal, help with utility problems and advice clinics on matters such as benefits and financial planning, as well as groups working with youth and elderly.

The keynote speaker will be Major Drew McCombe, from the Salvation Army. There will also be contributors from the police, the Citizens Advice Bureau and Lancaster University.
