Complaints procedure revamp for Lancaster City Council

Lancaster City Council is looking to improve its complaints process.

The council has set up a new task group to look at the procedure for making complaints and the way they are handled.

A short questionnaire has been designed to find out how and why people complain about council services.

The results will be used to make recommendations on how the complaints process could be improved.

Coun Caroline Jackson, chairman of the committee, said: “We want to hear from anyone who has felt like complaining, or actually contacted the council in some way, to fill in a very short survey. The results will inform our final recommendations on how the process could be improved, along with the other evidence we’ve gathered.”
