Car and caravan jackknifes on M6

A car towing a caravan jackknifed on the M6, causing delays for drivers heading to Lancaster.

Nobody was injured in the incident, which happened on the southbound carriageway between junction 36 at Kirkby Lonsdale and junction 35 at Carnforth, just past Burton Services.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 10.48am.

Two southbound lanes were closed along with one lane of the northbound side.

The car was moved to the hard shoulder and the caravan mounted on the central reservation.
