Campus Festival for the whole family

Join students at Lancaster University on Saturday, March 14 for a spectacular free performing arts showcase.

Campus Festival 2015 will feature live music from campus bands, performances and demos from student societies and much more.

The night will culminate in a headline performance from the winner of the university Battle of the Bands competition, followed by a spectacular firework display with musical accompaniment from the University of Lancaster Music Society.

New this year is Culture Corner, hosted jointly by Lancaster University Students’ Union and Lancaster University, featuring a selection of acts, workshops and readings from students and special guests from Lancaster’s arts scene. Performers include the music society folk group and barbershop quartet, acoustic guitar performances, storytelling sessions, workshops by Nigerian and Malaysian students and much more.

There will also be chance to find out more about the university’s sporting activities, with attractions including chance to have a go at trampolining.

There will be a bar on site and a selection of delicious food to choose from – so don’t miss out on a free, fun-packed day of entertainment for all the family.

The event, organised by Lancaster University Students’ Union, runs from 1pm to 11pm in Lancaster Square, at the north end of the main campus.
