Friends of a Morecambe woman who died suddenly have begun a campaign to pay for her funeral.

Mandy Dunbar passed away over the weekend, aged 43.

A website page has been set up aiming to raise £1,400.

Friends are also selling raffle tickets on the Branksome estate, where Mandy lived, to raise cash.

Her friend Bev Blacow said: “Mandy had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

“We’re doing this to help her dad.

“This is bringing the community together and even people we don’t know are donating.”

Posting on the Just Giving ‘crowd funding’ page, Emma Jane wrote: “Every time Mandy was paid she would go and buy me a present for my baby even though he was still in my tummy.

“Sadly as my baby was late she never got the chance to meet him.”

The Just Giving page was set up by Mandy’s friends Steph and Paula who lived on the same street.
